Sunday Morning Album

Today, said I, is a good day to post some photos on the blog - part of my on-line journal of this new kind of plan-ahead, funeral for a friend, kind of thing.

My wife listens intently to conversation on the deck. I love to see her rest in the midst of all the busy-ness of caring for me. I love to see her smile.

Grammy Jo, Papa Luigi, and our younger son, all clad in West Point gear, pose for a picture on the deck. We enjoyed a beautiful day outdoors on Saturday.

My sister Ann, her daughter Tracy, and Tracy's friend Nichelle enjoy a conversation on the deck under a cloudless sky. Tracy and Nichelle are both in the banking business and live in Philadelphia. Just this past week, Tracy received a promotion to head of customer service at a competing bank in Philadelpia. In the past three months, she also joined a three-person rock band called Vaudeville as a bass player; they pay local venues in Philadelphia, but are seeking to expand their playing area.

Another photo of our son with the Grands. Notice that our son has switched to his BDU's. Of course, this photo may have preceded the previous group shot. I'll consult the managing editor and get back to you on that one - just for the sake of integrity in the media.

Papa Luigi enjoys a moment in the sun. Does it get any better than this?

What nice pictures! Thanks for sharing them, Jim! It's a beautiful weekend, I wish I was up around Honesdale today, crunching leaves in the woods!

Jim,
Your blog is absolute fabulous. It is so uplifting. I am so sorry to hear about your condition. You will be with the Lord; but everyone that loves you will miss you terribly.
Your kids look fabulous. They must make you and Merrily very proud. Give all your kids my best and hug your wife for me.
Please know that my wife and I and our Sunday school class will be praying for you and your wonderful family.
Your strength through this ordeal is amazing and inspiring. There is no doubt that you are deriving this strength from Jesus Christ.
Thank you for all you have written on your blog. I am using it as a daily devotion.
I wish you and your family the best and I hope you are as comfortable and as pain free as possible.

In Jesus' Name,

Mike Mackey

You really happy with your family. I understand you. I guess that’s just the thing if you belong to the human race. That’s what I’ve learned when my wife and I attended a series of Covenant Marriage Seminars.
