His younger brother and mother decided to get in on the action. Not shown, however, is the excitement of flicking slimy pumpkin seeds all over the kitchen. Not a particulary happy moment for mom!
I think I can detect in our son's expression just a hint of disgust at the sliminess of the whole ordeal.
What is he looking for?
Completed, the pumpkin sported a carved "A" for Army and is shown lit up on the back deck.

Hooah!
Mr. Bond,
Greetings from one of your Walker School students! I see your pun of today and I can only think that Bruce Powell must have provided some inspiration. Mr. Powell, Mr. Mackey, and you made my middle school experience wonderful... and you know that there are not many people who admit to enjoying middle school. I did. I thank you. You are still one of my favorite teachers.
Mr. Bond, I was very sad when I first got the word of your illness on Friday. So sad, in fact, that I could not write anything of worth to you. Since Friday I have taken some time to read your blog, and I am amazed at the depth and strength of your faith in Christ our Lord. I am not worried about you, but for selfish reasons, I am still very sad. Your message of hope helps me greatly, for you are indeed bearing witness to the Glory of God.
Please know that you are in my daily prayers. You and your family will be on my mind and in my heart. May the blessings of Jesus Christ be with you to comfort and strengthen you now and forever. Amen.

I’m glad you people have the enthusiasm to passionately comment on this page. My mom is really getting into my nerves so I can’t be as passionate as you people are. Maybe I should ask her to attend a family blessings seminar with me.
Sorry for getting a bit off-topic here but I need to let you hear this out. I do not like how people treat marriage vows these days as if it’s just another walk in the park. That is why I urge everyone to join Covenant Marriage Seminars to let you see that divorce does not solve your marriage problems. Thanks for the time!
